Its exciting times ahead for New Zealand Trout Adventures. Starting now we are offering a wider range of services, not just in the Nelson region but all around New Zealand.
I will be offering my usual guiding services in the rivers and saltwater flats of the Nelson, West Coast and Canterbury regions but on top of that I will be extending my season to included guided sight fishing in the Central North Island throughout May and June. I spent a good amount of my early 20’s haunting the lakes and streams of Rotorua and in the last couple of seasons have been honing my skills on the Taupo fishery. Added to that I will also be adding in fishing for Searun brown trout and Kahawai in the lower reaches of the South Island rivers from September to November. Searun brown trout were the fish I cut my teeth on as a child growing up on the Westcoast. I try as hard as I can to get back to my roots and fish to these fish in amongst my busy guiding schedule.
I am also offering extensive tuition for new comers to fly fishing with a particular focus on women, children and couples. As we all know fly fishing is a great sport and the more people we can get involved the more people who will be appreciating our unique and special environment. I can draw on my nearly 30 years of fly fishing experience to teach in an informative and fun way. These lessons can take place anywhere within NZ but obviously the greater the number of participants the lower the cost will be. So the best way to do it is register interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org Once you have expressed interest we can canvas for more participants in your region via social media. This is also a great idea for corporate groups.
So this is how the season shapes up;
September to November – Searun Brown trout, Kahawai (South Island wide P.O.A)
October to April – Regular season for Brown and rainbow trout in the rivers (Nelson, Westcoast and Canterbury $850nz per day)
December to April – Flats fishing for Kingfish, Kahawai and Trevally (Golden Bay $850nz per day)
May to June – Central North Island spawning run Brown and Rainbow trout (P.O.A)
April to October – Nationwide fly fishing tuition (P.O.A)
